«Удаленная местность» — драматическая лента, рассказывающая историю одинокого мужчины, пытающегося наладить отношения со своими сыновьями, одного из которых и сыграл Том Холланд.
Возможность сблизиться с детьми появляется у главного героя после того, как его бывшая жена уезжает в отпуск, оставляя их на него. Однако долгожданной семейной идиллии на природе не суждено состояться, вместо этого главных героев ожидает тяжелая ночь в старом заброшенном доме, занесенном снегом. Однако именно эти обстоятельства в итоге позволяют детям узнать много неожиданного об отце, и о том, как много они для него значат.
Режиссером ленты стал Роб Коннолли, он же в соавторстве с Кайлом Мэнном является и автором сценария к фильму.
Отдельно останавливаясь на роли Холланда, стоит отметить его серьезный и профессиональный подход к проработке доверенного образа, благодаря чему его экранный персонаж получился очень живым и правдоподобным.

«Паломничество» — это ирландская историческая лента 2017 г., посвященная средневековой тематике, в которой Холланд сыграл одну из ведущих ролей, перевоплотившись в молодого монаха.
События фильма разворачиваются в Ирландии начала 13 века, и рассказывают о вынужденном паломничестве группы монахов через всю страну, чтобы доставить в Рим священную реликвию, хранящуюся в их монастыре. По пути главные герои переживают множество приключений и трудностей, связанных с многолетней непрекращающейся войной, происходящей внутри Ирландии и дополняемой постоянными вторжениями на остров иностранных завоевателей.
Премьера этого эпического фильма, снятого режиссером Брендоном Мулдани, состоялась в апреле 2017 г. и была достаточно благосклонно встречена критиками и зрителями. А поклонникам Тома Холланда было интересно взглянуть на актера в несколько непривычном для него, мрачном средневековом антураже.
